| The attendance for Saturday's EDF Energy Cup final at Twickenham is expected to top 60,000. |
With a mouthwatering under card of Exeter Chiefs against Northampton Saints in the EDF Energy National Trophy and the showpiece of Leicester Tigers against Ospreys advanced sales have already gone past 58,000 - well up on last year's final attendance of 42,538.
Tickets can be bought in advance or at the stadium on Saturday and RFU Business Operations Director Paul Vaughan said: “The expected crowd shows how important cup competitions are to the rugby supporter.
“With the Tigers aiming to retain the trophy and the Ospreys smarting after their Heineken Cup exit, it’s going to be a fantastic occasion on Saturday.
“With three finals (EDF Energy Intermediate Cup, National Trophy and the Cup) for one ticket, it’ll be a great day out not only for supporters of the participating clubs but the general rugby fan.”
EDF Energy Intermediate Cup: Birkenhead Park v Chester (10am)
EDF Energy National Trophy: Exeter Chiefs v Northampton Saints (12pm)
EDF Energy Cup Final: Leicester Tigers v Ospreys (2.30pm)
Tickets, subject to availability, to include all three games, are priced £45/£30/£20 for adults and £10 for juniors and available from Ticketmaster on 0870 902 0000 or by clicking here. |
